First awarded in 1969, the Man Booker Prize is recognised as the leading award for high quality literary fiction written in English. This year's shortlisted titles and authors are: 4321 by Paul Auster, History of Wolves by Emily Fridlund, Exit West by Mohsin Hamid, Elmet by Fiona Mozley, Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders, and Autumn by Ali Smith.<br />
